Mercor is seeking a Policy Administration & Insurance Operations Manager for a remote contract role. You will oversee the policy lifecycle from intake and binding through issuance, servicing, renewals and terminations, designing practical processing workflows and quality checks.

You will translate policy requirements into precise operational steps, review AI-driven outputs, and provide clear feedback to the research team to improve model behavior.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of policy administration or underwriting operations experience.
• Understanding of the policy lifecycle from intake to renewal.
• Experience with policy administration systems and QA processes.
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to distinguish administrative vs underwriting decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design scenarios for intake, binding, issuance, endorsements, and policy documents.
• Create work products like processing instructions, reviews, and quality checks.
• Write reference responses at experienced operations quality.
• Grade AI-generated responses against rubrics for accuracy and completeness.
• Identify incorrect dates or missing docs and distinguish processing vs underwriting.
• Provide feedback to the research team to improve model behavior.
