Job summary

Red Energy Pty Ltd seeks a DevOps Engineer for a 12‑month fixed-term contract in Melbourne. You will design, deliver and maintain high-quality cloud services powering our retail operations, balancing on-prem and cloud environments with automation and agile methods.

You’ll strengthen security and compliance, drive CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with internal teams to maximise system availability and performance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a DevOps Engineer.
• Strong Linux (Redhat/Ubuntu), CLI and Shell scripting.
• Proven OpenShift and/or Kubernetes experience.
• GitLab, Gitflow, GitOps and CI/CD pipelines (ArgoCD).
• Azure expertise with Terraform IaC.
• OpenTelemetry and Grafana Cloud proficiency.
• Networking basics incl SDN, policies and micro-segmentation.
• GCP or other cloud services advantageous.
• Familiar with WAF/Proxy like CloudFlare.

Responsibilities

• Design, deliver and maintain cloud services for retail operations.
• Maintain security posture, regulatory compliance and best practices.
• Adopt agile approach to infrastructure and deliver quality systems.
• Liaise with stakeholders to maximise availability of critical systems.
• Manage and evolve CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, ArgoCD).
• Monitor and optimise cloud platforms for performance and security.
• Build strong relationships to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
