Job summary

Mercor seeks an FP&A Expert on a contract basis to drive forecasting and reporting tasks for AI-enabled finance models. This remote role demands deep FP&A experience, model literacy, and strong judgment to validate outputs.

You will review AI-agent rollouts, identify failure modes, and refine prompts to reflect authentic FP&A and lender reporting work, ensuring accurate, defensible results.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in FP&A, financial reporting, or lender reporting.
• Ability to read and interpret a Financial Forecaster model.
• Experience with forecasting, covenant, or reporting tasks.

Responsibilities

• Review and QA AI-agent rollouts in Financial Forecaster.
• Identify failure modes where agents succeed or fail.
• Improve realism by refining task prompts to reflect FP&A work.
• Update grading guidance for accuracy and gating failures.
• Catch plausible-but-wrong answers and ensure consistency.
