Journey Beyond is seeking experienced Fishing Guides to join our Outback Spirit team at a remote Arnhem Land lodge. You will lead safe, engaging fishing tours and share knowledge of blue water or estuary conditions, while prioritising guest experiences and safety.

We welcome candidates with Coxswains ticket, NT Operators Licence and Remote First Aid, and who can adapt to lodge operations during non-fishing periods; casual roles run during peak seasons with accommodation and meals provided.

Qualifications

• Experience leading fishing tours for diverse guests.
• Ability to tailor experiences for all skill levels.
• Strong knowledge of NT tidal movements and local fishing conditions.
• Commitment to safety and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and set the tone for an exceptional experience
• Lead safe, informative and engaging fishing tours for guests of all abilities
• Share expert knowledge of blue water or estuary fishing, local conditions, tides and seasonal patterns
• Educate guests on local wildlife, ecosystems and Arnhem Land
• Ensure guest safety at all times, including correct use of fishing equipment
• Respond to emergencies and administer first aid if required
• Prepare, maintain and store fishing equipment, ensuring all gear is clean, safe and operational
• Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of vessels
• Assist with lodge operations and general duties during non-fishing periods
