Job summary

Outback Spirit Tours Darwin is seeking experienced Fishing Guides to deliver safe, engaging fishing experiences at Arnhem Land lodges. You’ll lead blue water or estuary trips, catering to first-time anglers and high-end guests while sharing your regional knowledge.

You must hold Coxswains ticket, NT Operators Licence, Remote First Aid, and a valid Manual Drivers Licence. Roles are casual, with run-off and build-up seasons, and include accommodation and meals.

Qualifications

• Fishing experience (blue water/estuary).
• Knowledge of NT tidal movements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Calm, safety-focused with emergency readiness.
• Hands-on attitude to support lodge ops.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and set a premium tone for experiences.
• Lead safe, informative fishing tours for all abilities.
• Share knowledge of local fishing conditions and wildlife.
• Educate guests on Arnhem Land ecology and tides.
• Ensure gear safety and maintenance.
• Respond to emergencies; provide first aid if needed.
• Assist with lodge operations during non-fishing times.
