Job summary

SEEK is seeking a FinOps Engineer to optimise cloud spend, drive governance, and build dashboards that reveal cost trends for engineering and business leadership. You will collaborate with finance, engineering, operations and architecture to improve forecasting, accountability and value realization from cloud investments.

The role focuses on hands-on cost management, data analysis, and automation within a fast-moving, hybrid work environment at SEEK in Australia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience.
• Experience with cloud cost management and FinOps practices.
• Strong SQL and data modelling skills for large billing datasets.
• Proficiency in Python or shell scripting for automation.

Responsibilities

• Drive cloud cost optimisation including rightsizing and savings opportunities.
• Develop dashboards and insights on cloud spending and cost trends.
• Collaborate across Engineering, Operations, Finance to align usage with budgets.
• Participate in architecture reviews to ensure cost-efficient solutions.
• Automate FinOps workflows and governance policies.
