Job summary

Boeing Defence Australia seeks an Engineering Manager to lead CH-47F Chinook sustainment efforts from proposal through to installation. You will manage a team of engineers, drive technical decisions, and align delivery with schedule, budget, and quality targets.

You will engage with project managers, the Chief Engineer, and customers, ensuring clear requirements and effective status communication while developing talent and fostering a high-performance culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Aeronautical, Aerospace or Mechanical engineering.
• 10+ years in complex sustainment, development, or integration projects.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams and delivering technical outcomes.
• Strong Systems Engineering knowledge and lifecycle management.
• Experience with Change Management and engineering artefacts.
• Experience with Defence Aviation Safety Requirements (DASRs).
• Australian Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers and senior officers with performance management.
• Oversee sustainment technical support and engineering changes from proposal to installation.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and the Chief Engineer to meet quality, schedule, budget.
• Act as hands-on principal engineer for complex sustainment activities.
• Interface with customers to ensure clear requirements and status communication.
• Plan resource deployment and prioritize activities.
• Track metrics and drive continuous improvement.
