Aspect (Autism Spectrum Australia) is seeking a Distance Education (DE) Teacher – Subject Matter Expert for Semester 2, 2026, with a max-term contract and potential extension. The role is based in Adelaide, SA, with hybrid work and on-site Professional Learning at Aspect Treetop School in Ashford. Salary ranges from $88,161 to $127,186 p.a.

Qualifications

• TRB registration to teach in South Australia.
• Special Education qualifications are preferred.
• Willingness and capacity to teach outside of subject area.
• Distance Education requires experience with Google Classrooms, M365 SharePoint and/or other online platforms.
• Experience working with students on the autism spectrum or other intellectual disability desirable.
• SA Working with Children Check clearance for paid employment.
• May require a current driver’s licence depending on location/requirements.
• LR driver’s licence desirable.
• International police clearance may be required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality, evidence‑informed teaching in a distance education environment.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support student engagement, wellbeing and progress.
• Contribute to program delivery and curriculum quality within a distance education model.
