Job summary

Aspect (Autism Spectrum Australia) is seeking qualified teachers for a Distance Education (DE) Teacher – Subject Matter Expert role for Semester 2, 2026. The position offers a full-time base salary of $88,161 - $127,186 p.a.

plus superannuation, with hybrid onsite requirements at Aspect Treetop School (Ashford SA). You will contribute to evidence‑informed learning programs, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and support students on the autism spectrum through flexible teaching approaches

Qualifications

• TRB registration to teach in South Australia.
• Special Education qualifications are preferred.
• Willingness and capacity to teach outside of subject area.
• Distance Education program requires experience with Google Classrooms, M365 SharePoint and/or other online learning platforms.
• Experience working with students on the autism spectrum or with other intellectual disability (desirable).
• SA Working with Children Check clearance for paid employment.
• Current driver's licence may be essential depending on location.
• Light Rigid (LR) driver's licence (desirable).
• International police clearance may be required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality, evidence‑informed teaching in a distance education environment.
• Collaborate with families, teacher aides, and professionals to tailor learning.
• Contribute to program delivery and curriculum quality within distance education.
• Support student engagement, wellbeing, and progress using best practices.
