Job summary

Enterprise Management Group seeks a Cairns-based FIFO Engagement/Employment Consultant to support employment, training, and community engagement across remote regions of Queensland. The role combines Cairns office work with on-site visits to remote communities, at least two weeks per month, with travel as needed.

You will build strong relationships with participants, Elders, Traditional Owners and stakeholders, identify opportunities, and deliver culturally appropriate, community-led solutions

Qualifications

• Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
• Ability to obtain a National Police Check and Blue Card.
• Willingness to travel and stay in remote communities.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Build respectful relationships with community members, Elders, and stakeholders.
• Support participants to identify employment goals and overcome barriers.
• Connect participants with employers, training providers, and community organisations.
• Develop and deliver employment, training, and workforce participation initiatives.
• Deliver Employment Placement Support for participants.
• Promote EMG services through community engagement and networking.
• Coordinate job readiness supports (licences, ID requirements, training, and tickets).
• Monitor participant progress and provide ongoing mentoring and support.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to continuous service improvement.
