Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Chemistry Subject Matter Expert (AI Training) for remote, hourly contracting work. You will design challenging chemistry problems and develop rigorous step-by-step solutions to help train and evaluate advanced AI models.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills across advanced chemistry domains.
• Ability to explain complex scientific concepts clearly and precisely in writing.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently.
• No prior AI experience required — training provided.

Responsibilities

• Design challenging chemistry problems to test AI model performance across domains (organic, biochemistry, chemical engineering, physical chemistry).
• Develop clear, rigorous step-by-step solutions that demonstrate expert-level reasoning.
• Evaluate AI-generated responses for scientific accuracy, logical consistency, and depth of reasoning.
• Collaborate with researchers to refine benchmarks spanning undergraduate through Master’s-level chemistry content.
• Provide structured, actionable feedback to improve AI model quality.
