Job summary

Alignerr is seeking Biology Subject Matter Experts to contribute to AI training by designing and evaluating advanced biology questions for state-of-the-art models. You will develop rigorous, well-reasoned solutions and assess AI outputs for accuracy and logic, collaborating with researchers to refine benchmarking across biology topics from undergraduate to Masters level.

This remote, hourly contract role offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to work with leading AI labs.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or holding a Master's degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• Strong reasoning and problem-solving skills across advanced biology domains.
• Able to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and concisely in writing.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and rigorous thinking.
• No prior AI or data annotation experience required.

Responsibilities

• Design challenging, advanced biology questions to rigorously test AI performance
• Develop clear, step-by-step solutions that demonstrate strong scientific reasoning
• Evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, logical consistency, and quality
• Collaborate with researchers to refine evaluation benchmarks across undergraduate to Masters-level biology topics
• Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule
