Job summary

Spinifex Health Service seeks a dynamic Remote Area Nurse (RAN) to deliver comprehensive primary healthcare in community settings, including child/family health and chronic disease management. You will also provide emergency care and contribute to team-based care when GP coverage is limited.

The ideal candidate holds current AHPRA registration, at least three years of nursing experience, and Remote/Aboriginal nursing exposure. Advanced Life Support and related training are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration and annual practising certificate as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum of three years full-time broad-based nursing experience, including A&E.
• Remote/Aboriginal nursing experience preferred.
• REC, BLS/ALS, MEC pharmacotherapy courses current.
• Immunisation endorsed or willing to obtain.
• Understanding of Aboriginal health issues and primary health care principles.
• Commitment to quality improvement and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Deliver primary healthcare services including assessments and follow-up.
• Provide health education to individuals and community.
• Collaborate with allied health and multidisciplinary teams.
• Undertake clinical duties across health service scope as directed.
• Emergency care and patient stabilization; coordinate medical evacuations.
• Ensure compliance with WHS and clinical governance.
