Job summary

Brumby, a Sydney-based company building autonomous drones for cattle management, is hiring a Remote Pilot to operate and monitor BVLOS missions from our Remote Operations Centre in Alexandria. You’ll fly, supervise, and troubleshoot aircraft over remote cattle stations, bring back data, and work closely with engineers as hardware evolves.

Expect early starts and weekend shifts, hands-on maintenance, and a path to scaling operations as the fleet grows.

Qualifications

• Must hold current Remote Pilot Licence (RePL).
• Must have 25 kg powered lift endorsement on RePL.
• Available for early starts and weekend shifts.
• Based in Sydney and able to work on-site at the Remote Operations Centre in Alexandria.
• Capable of making sound decisions and remaining calm when things don’t go to plan.

Responsibilities

• Flying and supervising BVLOS missions over cattle stations from the Remote Operations Centre.
• Pre-flight checks, mission monitoring, and responding to unexpected events in the air.
• Test flying new aircraft, hardware, and software, with feedback to engineering.
• Hands-on prep, maintenance, and repairs on the aircraft fleet.
• Help build flight operations procedures to scale to more aircraft per pilot.
