ECR Transport and Logistics – Melbourne VIC seeks an experienced Business Development Manager to drive new business and oversee health and safety while working from home. You will generate opportunities, build client relationships, and expand interstate transport services.

Salary: $110,000 + Super + Uncapped Commission

As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager to drive new business as well as oversee our health and safety

About the Role

This is a work-from-home position offering flexibility and autonomy. You'll be responsible for generating new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and expanding our local and interstate transport services.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new customers for local and interstate transport services.

• Develop and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities.

• Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers.

• Prepare transport proposals, quotations, and service agreements.

• Work closely with the operations team to ensure smooth onboarding of new clients.

• Achieve agreed sales and revenue targets.

• Represent the company at client meetings and networking events.

• Oversee the company's Work Health & Safety (WHS) program.

• Maintain and update WHS policies, procedures, and documentation.

• Coordinate incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions.

• Promote a positive safety culture across the business.

• Assist in ensuring compliance with relevant transport and workplace safety legislation.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Proven experience in business development within the transport, freight, logistics, or 3PL industry.

• A demonstrated ability to win new business and build lasting customer relationships.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.

• The ability to work independently from a home office.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• A current Australian driver's licence.
