Hunt St Pty Ltd in Australia is seeking a Bookkeeper for a fully remote role. You will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor and work from home, aligned with Australian business hours. We value strong bookkeeping fundamentals, Australian accounting experience, and the ability to learn Harmonic quickly. Prior Harmonic experience is a bonus.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience.
• Experience supporting Australian businesses.
• Hands-on experience with Australian payroll, superannuation, PAYG, and STP.
• Strong accounts payable and accounts receivable experience.
• Comfortable handling collections and customer follow-ups by phone.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Clear, professional communication with Australian customers and suppliers.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good judgement and proactive issue identification.
• Comfortable learning new accounting/ERP systems.
• Reliable home office setup with stable internet and backup power.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices against purchase orders and goods received.
• Manage payroll for factory and office employees and handle timesheets and PAYG.
• Maintain debtor ledgers and follow up overdue payments.
• Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger allocations.
• Support month-end close and produce aged debtor/creditor reports.
• Identify discrepancies and suggest improvements to processes.
