Job summary

MSL is seeking a remote contract Bookkeeper to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for our parent company in Australia. You will perform bookkeeping tasks, reconcile accounts, and prepare BAS while maintaining financial statements with high accuracy.

The role requires independent work, strong attention to detail, and a solid understanding of Australian tax rules. Experience in healthcare is a plus and CPA/CA certification is advantageous for progression.

Job description

This is a remote contract role for a Bookkeeper. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records for our parent company in Australia. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for tasks such as bookkeeping, reconciling accounts, preparation of BAS and maintaining financial statements.

Requirements

• Bookkeeping and Accounting skills
• Experience with Accounting Software such as Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks
• Journal Entries (Accounting) skills
• Knowledge of Financial Statements
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in financial record keeping
• Strong ethics regarding data privacy of sensitive data
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus
• Professional certification such as CPA or CA is a plus
• Industry experience or strong knowledge of Australian tax rules and regulations would be highly advantageous
