Job summary

TELUS Digital AI Data Solutions seeks a Bioinformatics AI Expert to craft advanced benchmark datasets and evaluate AI models on real wet and dry biology data such as RNA-seq and sequencing formats.

You will design complex information-reversal tasks, oversee data workspace packaging, and orchestrate multi-step tool usage. This independent contractor role emphasizes rigorous rubric writing and deterministic evaluation in a global remote setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of practical bioinformatics experience.
• Hands-on with real biological data types (RNA-seq, WGS/WES, etc.).
• Proficiency with Python/R scripting for data processing.

Responsibilities

• Design information-reversal benchmark tasks and evaluation datasets.
• Build self-contained data workspace archives for experiments.
• Create multi-step tool workflows (BLAST, genomic interval tools, variant annotators).
• Develop step-by-step CoT resolutions and rigid rubrics for automated evaluation.
• Ensure automated validation and prevent metadata leakage.
