Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Remote Aviation Safety Manager to lead and enhance the company’s Safety Management System from a fully remote capacity. You will oversee risk assessments, investigations, and safety training while ensuring adherence to ICAO, EASA, FAA, and SACAA standards.

The role emphasizes proactive safety leadership, virtual collaboration, and delivering measurable safety improvements across all operations within a flexible remote environment.

Qualifications

Extensive experience in aviation safety management and proven SMS implementation.
Degree or certifications in aviation safety or related field.
Strong understanding of ICAO/EASA/FAA/SACAA regulations.
Proven leadership and ability to influence stakeholders remotely.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and manage the Safety Management System (SMS).
Conduct risk assessments, hazard analyses and safety audits across operations.
Investigate incidents, identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
Develop and deliver safety training for all personnel levels.
Promote a positive safety culture through effective communication.
