Job summary

Royal Flying Doctor Service is seeking a Head of Airworthiness to lead our continuing airworthiness program across RFDSSE. You will oversee maintenance programs and regulatory compliance, while guiding a high-performing team dedicated to safety and reliability of our fleet.

The role requires extensive aviation leadership experience and a strong understanding of CASA requirements, with responsibilities spanning budgets, governance, and industry collaboration.

Qualifications

• Aviation airworthiness and maintenance knowledge.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and CASA rules.
• Proven leadership of airworthiness teams and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead RFDSSE airworthiness function with CASA compliance and maintenance control.
• Oversee continuing airworthiness systems and maintenance programs.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team, promoting safety and quality.
• Partner with cross-functional leaders to deliver organisational objectives.
• Manage departmental budgets, reporting and resource planning.
• Represent RFDSSE with CASA, industry stakeholders and aviation partners.
