The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor of Nursing with current AHPRA registration, at least 2 years in remote healthcare, and the ability to work outside a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years working in remote or rural healthcare settings.
• Ability to work autonomously outside hospital environment.
• Evidence of prior service and specialized training for the area.

Responsibilities

• Develop individualized care plans with patients, families and healthcare team.
• Provide skilled nursing in homes, including wound care, IV therapy, catheter care, and disease management.
• Monitor vital signs, symptoms, and response to treatment; intervene as needed.
• Inspect wounds, change dressings and manage hygiene.
• Test for muscle weakness, bedsores, and infection signs.
• Compile reports for physicians on patient recovery.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Remote Area Nurses for short contracts to provide health care services to remote communities. As a Registered Nurse, Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Develop individualized care plans based on patients' needs, preferences, and goals, in collaboration with the patient, family, and healthcare team.
• Provide skilled nursing interventions to patients in their homes, including wound care, medication administration, IV therapy, catheter care, and disease management.
• Monitor patients' vital signs, symptoms, and response to treatment, and intervene as necessary to address acute or chronic health issues.
• Inspecting wounds, changing dressings, and handling personal grooming and hygiene.
• Testing for muscle weakness, bedsores, and any signs of infection.
• Monitoring patient recovery and compiling reports for the physician.

What We Require From You

• Bachelor of Nursing qualification (or equivalent) and current AHPRA registration
• Minimum of 2 years working in remote or rural healthcare settings
• Ability to work autonomously outside hospital environment
• Evidence of prior service
• Specific qualifications or Training for specialty area
• National police certificate
• A valid and up to date Ochre Card
• Up to date vaccinations
