Job summary

A healthcare provider is seeking experienced Registered Nurses for the NT Remote Locum Program to provide treatment in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across remote Northern Territory. This locum position offers placements between 3 to 12 weeks with all travel and accommodation covered. Candidates must have AHPRA registration, three years of experience, and a BLS/CPR certificate. This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully while exploring Australia’s remote landscapes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of postgraduate experience.
• Minimum of 250 hours of relevant clinical experience within the past 12 months.
• Current recognised Immunisation certificate.
• BLS/CPR certification is up to date.
• Immunisation certificate is current.
• NT WWCC is held or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in remote NT communities.
• Deliver culturally safe, high-quality care in collaboration with health practitioners.
• Collaborate with Aboriginal Health Practitioners, GPs, nurses and staff.
• Support flexible locum placements ranging from 3 to 12 weeks.

The NT Remote Locum Program (NTRLP) is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander-led workforce program dedicated to strengthening healthcare services in remote communities across the Northern Territory.

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to provide treatment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in remote NT communities. This locum-based role offers short-term placements where you will work on-site in remote clinics, delivering culturally safe, high-quality care in collaboration with Aboriginal Health Practitioners, General Practitioners, nurses, and support staff.
