Job summary

Alignerr Corp. is seeking a PhD-level Applied Physicist to shape AI understanding of physical systems by designing open-ended physics problems and rigorous solutions.

You will audit AI simulations and provide expert feedback to improve reasoning about conservation laws and boundary conditions. Remote hourly contract with 10–40 hours per week, requiring strong English communication and a deep mastery of classical mechanics, electromagnetism, statistical mechanics, and quantum mechanics.

Qualifications

• PhD level in Applied Physics, Physics, Engineering Physics, or closely related field.
• Exceptional ability to explain complex physical phenomena and mathematical derivations clearly in English.
• Uncompromising eye for detail: units, notation, dimensional analysis, and proof structure.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently; no prior AI/tech experience required.

Responsibilities

• Design advanced physics problems at PhD level for AI training and evaluation.
• Author comprehensive, step-by-step golden solutions with precise constants and unit conversions.
• Audit AI-generated simulations for physical consistency and identify violations of first principles.
• Provide structured feedback to improve AI reasoning around boundary conditions and conservation laws.
• Work independently and asynchronously, on your own schedule.
