Job summary

Alignerr hires Masters and PhD-level researchers to work with leading AI research labs, crafting multi-disciplinary problems that push AI capabilities. This remote, hourly contract role offers 10-40 hours per week, with flexible scheduling and freelance autonomy.

You’ll develop and review complex AI scenarios, collaborate asynchronously with researchers, and ensure rigorous, precise deliverables across STEM domains. Fluency in English is required, with remote work supported from multiple regions.

Qualifications

• Hold a Master’s or PhD in a STEM or highly technical field from a leading university.
• Strong track record in research, publications, or complex technical project management.
• Exceptional written communication skills and a sharp eye for precision and detail.
• Thrive working independently on intellectually demanding problems.
• Fluent in English and based in the US, Canada, UK, Australia, or New Zealand.

Responsibilities

• Develop, solve, and critically review advanced, multi-disciplinary problems with real-world and academic relevance
• Apply your research expertise to design complex problem statements that challenge and improve AI reasoning capabilities
• Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and domain experts to enhance model performance
• Ensure academic rigour, depth, and clarity across all deliverables
• Contribute to projects spanning a wide range of STEM and technical domains
