Komatsu Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced engine rebuilder for our REMAN workshop in Welshpool. You will work on heavy diesel engines and transmissions, delivering accurate rebuilds with hands-on precision and adherence to safety standards.

The role requires strong diagnostic skills, familiarity with DynPro and Cummins Insite, and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment. Overtime opportunities are available in a dynamic heavy equipment setting.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate – Heavy Diesel or relevant with proven workshop experience.
• Experience in heavy machinery engine and transmission rebuilds.
• Familiar with component test equipment and fault finding/diagnostics.
• IT systems experience with Cummins Insite, DynPro and Microsoft Dynamics.
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Rebuild engines and transmissions in the REMAN workshop to high standards.
• Utilise test equipment and diagnostic tools to verify component performance.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

The Opportunity:

As an experienced engine rebuilder, you are more than just a normal technician—you are a precision-focused technician with hands‑on expertise, a strong understanding of engines, and the ability to deliver high‑quality results consistently.

Bring your experience with engines and transmissions to our REMAN workshop at Komatsu, get trained on Komatsu equipment and uncover great opportunities to grow your career.

Roster: Monday to Friday (38 hours per week, with overtime opportunities)

Potential Annual Earnings: Up to $128,000/yr + super (based on 50 hours per week)

Role Located: Welshpool

What we are looking for:

• Trade certificate – Heavy Diesel or relevant


• Experience in heavy machinery engine and transmission rebuilds


• Experienced in the use of component test equipment - specifically Taylor DynPro. Good fault finding and diagnostic skills


• IT systems experience with a focus on Cummins Insite, DynPro, and Microsoft Dynamics


• A high regard for safety


• Ability to work within a team environment
