Job summary

St Paul’s Catholic College, Booragul, is seeking a permanent full-time Leader of Learning - Religious Education to join the team from January 2027. You will coordinate with the school leadership to promote religious learning, ensure high teaching standards, and lead collaborative professional learning across the RE faculty.

The role requires a practising Catholic with deep commitment to Catholic education, knowledge of RE documents, and capacity to lead in learning outcomes and faith formation

Qualifications

• Four-year trained teacher with certification aligned to Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
• Postgraduate study in Religious Education or Theology.
• NESA Teacher Accreditation.
• Diocesan Accreditation to Teach Religion.
• Current NSW WWCC required; completion of anaphylaxis training.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support development, implementation and oversight of quality Religious Education programs and learning outcomes.
• Promote high standards of teaching practice within the RE Faculty.
• Possess deep understanding of Religious Education curriculum requirements.
• Establish a culture of collaborative and reflective practice.
• Support staff in professional learning and building leadership capacity.
• Know students well and provide engaging learning that fosters faith development.
