Job summary

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Primary Wentworthville seeks a Religious Education Coordinator to join the team on a temporary full-time basis for 2027. The successful candidate will lead high-quality Catholic education, collaborate with parish and diocese partners, and foster a liturgical and spiritual life within a safe learning community.

The role requires accreditation to teach RE (Category D), a relevant masters, and a strong commitment to Catholic faith in practice.

Qualifications

• Accredited to teach Religious Education (Category D) as part of NSW requirements.
• Masters in Religious Education/Theology or Educational Leadership with relevant units.
• Four units of postgraduate study in RE/Theology and/or Catholic Leadership.
• Ability to model Catholic faith and lead school spiritual life.

Responsibilities

• Lead learning and teaching aligned with Catholic worldview.
• Collaborate with Parish Priest, parents and Diocese partners.
• Enhance liturgical, sacramental and spiritual life of the school.
• Create safe, inclusive and challenging learning environments.
