Job summary

St Joseph's CPS Manildra invites a dedicated Catholic educator to join as Religious Education Coordinator. You will lead the RE program within a faith-filled school community, collaborating with clergy, parents, and staff to foster a visible Catholic identity.

You will design and implement RE curriculum, lead accreditation processes, and mentor RE teachers while coordinating with parish and school leadership for ongoing faith formation and social justice initiatives.

Qualifications

• You are a committed practicing Catholic.
• Personal commitment to the Catholic Faith and ability to lead a faith-filled Catholic community.
• Ability to nurture productive relationships.
• Capacity to develop a cooperative relationship between Parish and school.
• Evidence of highly effective classroom teaching.
• Expertise in curriculum design, particularly in Religious Education, and ability to reflect the spirit of documents in school-wide implementation.
• Capacity to lead initiatives to oversee the implementation of all CEDB RE policies and requirements.
• Capacity to lead school improvement processes and enhance pedagogy within a professional learning community.
• Proven ability to advocate for, participate in, and lead strategies to support high-quality faith formation opportunities for colleagues.
• Effective time management and communication skills.
• Capacity to lead and develop staff at individual and whole school level.
• Appropriate tertiary and Religious Education qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead religious leadership and ensure the school is visibly Catholic.
• Oversee liturgical and prayer life of the school.
• Promote social justice and missionary discipleship through school life.
• Ensure curriculum requirements and assessment practices for Religious Education are in place.
• Develop inclusive teaching practices in Religious Education and reflect policy in school-wide implementation.
• Mentor RE teachers and support accreditation requirements.
• Collaborate with parish, clergy, and parents to support faith formation.
• Contribute to school improvement and professional learning communities.
