Job summary

Brisbane Catholic Education seeks a Curriculum Leader for Religious Education and Identity at St Columban's College, Caboolture. The role focuses on leading the Religious Education curriculum aligned with national, state, and local standards and implementing effective pedagogies across the school.

The successful candidate will supervise teaching quality, use data to inform decisions, build partnerships, and manage resources responsibly, including a robust induction program for new teachers.

• Leading and innovating within a specified curriculum area.
• Stakeholder engagement fostering collaboration and transparency.

Responsibilities

• Leading the overall curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation across the school under the direction of Senior Leadership.
• Applying contemporary learning and teaching research to classroom practice through whole-school professional development and targeted support for teacher improvement.
• Collaborating with Curriculum Leaders, teaching staff, and Senior Leadership to review curriculum frameworks and plan future directions.
• Leading teacher performance through professional dialogue, reflective practice, and formal/informal goal setting and appraisal.
• Staying current with curriculum and pedagogy developments and guiding whole-school professional learning accordingly.
• Providing induction and mentoring for beginning teachers in collaboration with Senior Leadership and Curriculum Leaders.
• Supervising student learning across the school using internal and external data, and implementing strategic interventions.
• Contributing to school leadership through active participation in staff and middle leadership meetings.
• Managing financial and material resources within the curriculum area, including budget planning and expenditure.
