Job summary

The City of Canada Bay Council's Children’s Services are seeking Relief Early Childhood Educators to join Wellbank Children’s Centre (Concord) and Victoria Avenue Children’s Centre (Concord West). As a Relief ECE you will plan and deliver high-quality programs for children aged 0–5, supporting learning and development while maintaining a safe, inclusive environment.

Casual staff are engaged to maintain ratios during leave; short-notice shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• ACECQA approved Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Child protection certificates, including Foundations of Child Safety Training.
• Experience working with children aged 0-5 years.
• Child protection qualifications and understanding of child safe legislation and procedures.
• Valid Working with Children Check.
• National Police Check (current or willing to obtain).

Relief Early Childhood Educator (Support)

• $38 to $44 per hour +25% casual loading + superannuation

The City of Canada Bay Council’s Children’s Services for passionate Relief Early Childhood Educators to join our teams at Wellbank Children’s Centre (Concord) and Victoria Avenue Children’s Centre (Concord West).

As a Relief Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in planning and delivering high-quality educational programs for children aged 0–5 years. You will support each child’s learning and development through ongoing observation and assessment, while maintaining a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that promotes wellbeing and positive relationships.

Casual staff are engaged to maintain required child-to-staff ratios and meet regulatory requirements during periods of permanent staff leave. While we aim to provide as much notice as possible for available shifts, short-notice availability may occasionally be required to cover unforeseen absences.

Desired Candidate Profile

The successful applicant will have:

• An ACECQA approved Certificate III qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care
• Required Child protection certificates, including “Foundations of Child Safety Training”
• Experience working with children aged 0-5 years
• Child protection qualifications, and a firm understanding of child safe legislation and procedures
• A valid Working with Children Check
• A National Police Check (current or willing to obtain)

We offer a salary of $38 to $44 per hour, plus 25% casual loading and superannuation.
