Alcon is seeking a Reliability Test Engineer in Melbourne to lead environmental testing, reliability characterization and V&V activities. You will develop test plans, run tests, analyze data and contribute to design improvements for manufacturability and reliability.

Qualifications include an Engineering or Science degree, 3+ years in mechanical/electronic testing in a reliability-driven environment (experience with Optical or Medical Devices is valued).

Formación

• Engineering or Science degree required.
• 3+ years in testing mechanical/electronic systems in reliability-driven environment.
• Experience with environmental and accelerated lifetime testing.
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC, ISTA, ISO- regulatory testing standards.

Responsabilidades

• Determine reliability testing requirements from product specs.
• Develop and execute test schedules for Reliability and V&V testing.
• Create test protocols, set up test apparatus, run tests, and report results.
• Apply RCA, FMEA or statistical methods to identify failure patterns.
• Coordinate with external test bodies for regulatory compliance.
• Develop test fixtures for Electro- and Opto-mechanical elements.
• Troubleshoot test units and tools; analyze failures and implement solutions.
• Ensure products survive expected service life and meet qualification criteria.
