Job summary

BHP's Olympic Dam site in South Australia is seeking a Specialist Reliability to improve the performance, safety and reliability of the mobile fleet. You will lead defect elimination, develop maintenance strategies and collaborate across MECoE, operations and projects to deliver reliable outcomes.

Based at Olympic Dam on a 5/2 residential roster (or 5/2, 4/3 FIFO from Adelaide), you’ll apply data-driven engineering to reduce risk and drive continuous improvement while upholding safety standards

Qualifications

• Experience in reliability engineering or maintenance improvement in mining or heavy industry.
• Ability to interpret condition monitoring and performance data to drive improvements.
• Knowledge of reliability improvement methodologies and root cause analysis.
• Experience with Management of Change (MOC) frameworks.
• Knowledge of maintenance planning and lifecycle asset management.

Responsibilities

• Lead defect elimination and reliability improvement across the mobile fleet.
• Analyse condition monitoring data to identify risks and actions.
• Develop and optimise maintenance strategies and work instructions.
• Support budgeting and provide input into asset management planning.
• Collaborate with MECoE, operations, and projects to improve outcomes.
• Validate maintenance plans and track effectiveness of initiatives.
• Contribute to training and capability development for maintenance teams.
