Job summary

Northern Star Resources Limited is seeking a Mechanical Reliability Engineer for our Jundee and Carosue Dam operations in Western Australia. This permanent role offers 4/3 or 8/6 rotations, FIFO from Perth, and reports to the Maintenance Superintendent.

You will provide mechanical engineering support to the reliability department with a strong emphasis on capital projects, structural integrity, and condition monitoring.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for reliability improvements.
• Experience with root-cause analysis and FMECA desirable.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for reporting and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analytical work to identify, quantify, and implement improvements for processing plants.
• Investigate downtime events and diagnose root causes to enable permanent fixes.
• Ensure incidents and accidents are reported and followed up to minimise risk and participate in investigations.
• Coordinate equipment improvement trials and track/ report via Change Management procedures.
• Lead projects to improve equipment reliability and optimize plant maintenance strategies.
