Job summary

BHP is seeking an Auto Electrician for Mobile Fleet at Olympic Dam, SA, on a 7/7 rotating roster with FIFO from Adelaide or DIDO options. The role focuses on auto-electrical maintenance in surface workshops and infield sites, supporting a high‑performance team in a major mining operation.

Ideal candidates will hold Australian auto-electrical qualifications with heavy machinery experience, strong safety values, and the ability to work both independently and within a team.

Qualifications

• Australian recognised Auto-Electrical trade qualifications (or related field).
• Experience in heavy machinery preferred.
• Underground mining experience is valued but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Promote and follow safety standards and procedures daily.
• Assist with planned maintenance and complete tasks timely.
• Provide auto-electrical skills for unplanned or breakdown maintenance.
• Maintain mobile equipment in workshop, site, or infield as part of the team.
• Work with the team to maintain accountability and build productive relationships.
• Provide feedback to Shift Maintenance Supervisors on job progress.
