Job summary

Stellar Recruitment AU and NZ is partnering with a major Australian mining operation to appoint a Reliability & Planning Superintendent in Cairns, QLD. You will lead two critical functions to boost fleet reliability and planning efficiency.

The role offers a genuine FIFO arrangement, leadership across asset strategies, and the chance to influence maintenance outcomes at scale. You will ensure the right work is ready at the right time and drive continuous improvement across the site.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance planning, reliability or asset management.
• Ability to influence across operations and implement improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the reliability and planning functions, working with maintenance and operational leaders to strengthen asset strategies.
• Improve work quality, identify performance trends and make sure the right work is ready at the right time.
• Drive availability improvements and reduce repeat failures through disciplined execution.
• Lead maintenance planning and reliability initiatives across a large mobile fleet.

Stellar Recruitment is partnering with a major Australian mining operation seeking an experienced Reliability & Planning Superintendent to lead two of the biggest levers in maintenance performance.

This is not a role built around producing reports and schedules. It is about improving the way a large mobile fleet is maintained - using reliability thinking, quality planning and disciplined execution to lift availability and reduce repeat failures.

You will lead the reliability and planning functions, working closely with maintenance and operational leaders to strengthen asset strategies, improve work quality, identify performance trends and make sure the right work is ready at the right time.
