Job summary

Gold Fields is recruiting for a reliability engineer at the Gruyere Gold Mine in WA to support maintenance and processing departments. You will work with a diverse team to enhance plant reliability while extending asset life, reporting to the Senior Engineer: Reliability, and driving cost-effective improvements across fixed plant assets.

The role focuses on developing maintenance and reliability strategies, investigating root causes, and delivering data-driven improvements to maximise equipment

Qualifications

• Proven experience in reliability and maintenance of critical gold processing assets.
• Proficient in reliability engineering tools: RCM, PMO, and root cause failure analysis.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams in daily activities to provide practical engineering support.
• Develop and maintain fixed plant maintenance and reliability strategies to maximise equipment availability and minimise unplanned downtime.
• Lead root cause failure investigations and defect elimination to prevent repeat failures in critical plant assets.
• Analyse short- and long-term plant performance and reliability data to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
• Review inspection and maintenance reports for fixed plant assets and raise work orders in SAP to address reliability risks.
• Lead reliability improvement initiatives for processing plant equipment from identification through to implementation.
