Job summary

Compas PTY is seeking a Release Manager to lead end-to-end release coordination and oversee major incident management across critical aged care systems. You will ensure delivery, continuity and operational performance, working in a hybrid Canberra-based environment.

In this role you will drive planning, execution and service continuity, build strong stakeholder relationships, and continuously improve processes to minimise outages and maximise system availability.

Job description

Release Manager | Major Incident & BAU Operations

Lead end-to-end release coordination and business operations across critical aged care systems, with responsibility for release delivery, major incident management, service continuity and operational performance.

Location: ACT
Work Arrangement: Hybrid
Contract Duration: 12 months with one 12-month extension option
Security Clearance Requirement: Must be able to obtain Baseline
Closing Date: Monday, 07 September 2026 • 08:59am Canberra time

Essential Tasks

  • Lead the planning, scheduling and execution of system releases across key programs.
  • Drive major incident response, triage and resolution to maintain system availability.
  • Lead BAU operations to support consistent service delivery and issue management.
  • Build strong relationships with business and technical stakeholders to resolve issues.

Key Criteria

  • Strong capability in end-to-end release coordination across complex ICT environments.
  • Experience leading major incident management and resolving critical system issues.
  • Demonstrated experience managing BAU operations and maintaining service continuity.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, problem-solving and continuous improvement capability.
