Job summary

MediRecruit is seeking a Rehabilitation Consultant in Broken Hill, NSW for OT/Physio/EP professionals to manage their own caseload of workplace rehabilitation and injury management.

You will work with employers, insurers and treating practitioners, apply clinical reasoning, produce high-quality reports meeting deadlines, and travel as required. This full-time role offers mentoring, professional development and clear career progression within a national provider.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiology with AHPRA/ESSA registration.
• At least 1 year of allied health experience.
• Exposure to occupational rehabilitation and case management.
• Experience writing comprehensive reports to deadlines.
• Strong communication, time management and organisational skills.
• Current driver's licence and willingness to travel regularly.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of workplace rehabilitation and injury management cases from assessment through return to work.
• Apply knowledge of injury recovery to recommend strategies for safe, durable work return.
• Use clinical reasoning in assessments and case management decisions.
• Build relationships with injured workers, employers, insurers and treating practitioners.
• Prepare clear, high‑quality reports meeting client, scheme and legislative requirements.
• Meet service standards, reporting timeframes and return to work targets.

About the Role:

We are seeking a Rehabilitation Consultant to join a leading national workplace rehabilitation provider in Broken Hill, NSW. The role suits Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists who want to apply their clinical skills in occupational rehabilitation. You will help injured workers recover and return to safe, sustainable work, managing your own caseload and working closely with employers, insurers and treating practitioners.

• Manage a caseload of workplace rehabilitation and injury management cases, from assessment through to return to work
• Apply your knowledge of injury recovery and prevention to recommend strategies that improve function and support a safe, durable return to work
• Use sound clinical reasoning in assessments and case management decisions
• Build relationships and negotiate with injured workers, employers, insurers and treating practitioners
• Prepare clear, high-quality reports that meet client, scheme and legislative requirements
• Meet service standards, reporting timeframes and return to work targets

About You:
