Job summary

Altius Group is seeking a Rehabilitation Consultant to facilitate recovery and rehabilitation for individuals with injury, illness or disability. You will guide patients to regain independence, improve quality of life and reintegrate into community and work settings.

You will design personalised plans, perform assessments and collaborate with diverse stakeholders to drive credible outcomes and patient-centred progress.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiology.
• Full registration with AHPRA or ESSA.
• Full Australian working rights.
• Current driver's licence and car.

Responsibilities

• Develop personalised rehabilitation plans that support a whole-of-person approach to rehabilitation.
• Complete a range of assessments including Functional Capacity Evaluations, Workplace Assessments, Ergonomic Assessments and Activities of Daily Living Assessment (ADLS).
• Use lateral thinking and forward planning to identify potential return to work pathways in line with recovery milestones.
• Utilise problem-solving and clinical experience to assess and facilitate return to work of claimants.
• Work closely with clients, families, insurers, employers and other healthcare professionals to evaluate physical, psychological and social factors.
• Present case information and provide credible recommendations to drive the desired goal.

Requirements

YOUR NEW ROLE

As a Rehabilitation Consultant, you will play an instrumental role in facilitating the recovery and rehabilitation of individuals who have experienced injury, illness, or disability. Your clinical expertise and guidance will be pivotal in supporting individuals regain independence, improve their quality of life, and reintegrate into the community and the workforce.

• Develop personalised rehabilitation plans that support a whole-of-person approach to rehabilitation
• Complete a range of assessments including Functional Capacity Evaluations, Workplace Assessments, Ergonomic Assessments and Activities of Daily Living Assessment (ADLS).
• Use lateral thinking and forward planning skills to identify potential return to work pathways in line with likely recovery milestones
• Utilise problem-solving skills, clinical experience, and knowledge of injury management to perform assessments and facilitate the return to work of claimants
• You will work closely with a variety of stakeholders, including clients, their families, insurance companies, employers and other healthcare professionals to evaluate physical, psychological, and social factors
• Present case information to various stakeholders and providing credible recommendations/solutions to drive the desired goal
