Job summary

Altius is seeking a Rehabilitation Consultant to operate from our Launceston office, driving recovery and rehabilitation for individuals who have experienced injury, illness, or disability.

You will develop personalised rehabilitation plans and conduct a range of assessments, partnering with clients, families, insurers, and employers to guide return-to-work strategies and improve independence and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Must hold Full AHPRA Registration as an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist or ESSA Registration as an EP.
• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiology.
• Current driver's licence and access to own transport.
• Full Australian Working rights.

Responsibilities

• Develop personalised rehabilitation plans with a whole-of-person approach.
• Complete Functional Capacity Evaluations, Workplace/Ergonomic/ADLS assessments.
• Identify return-to-work pathways aligned with recovery milestones.
• Perform assessments and facilitate return to work of claimants using clinical knowledge.
• Collaborate with clients, families, insurers, employers and other healthcare professionals.
• Present case information with recommendations to drive outcomes.

Requirements

YOUR NEW ROLE

Working from our Launceston office as a Rehabilitation Consultant, you will play an instrumental role in facilitating the recovery and rehabilitation of individuals who have experienced injury, illness, or disability.

Your clinical expertise and guidance will be pivotal in supporting individuals regain independence, improve their quality of life, and reintegrate into the community and the workforce.

• Develop personalised rehabilitation plans that support a whole-of-person approach to rehabilitation
• Complete a range of assessments including Functional Capacity Evaluations, Workplace Assessments, Ergonomic Assessments and Activities of Daily Living Assessment (ADLS).
• Use lateral thinking and forward planning skills to identify potential return to work pathways in line with likely recovery milestones
• Utilise problem-solving skills, clinical experience, and knowledge of injury management to perform assessments and facilitate the return to work of claimants
• You will work closely with a variety of stakeholders, including clients, their families, insurance companies, employers and other healthcare professionals to evaluate physical, psychological, and social factors
• Present case information to various stakeholders and providing credible recommendations/solutions to drive the desired goal

What You Need To Join Us
