Job summary

Altius Group in Australia is seeking a Graduate Rehabilitation Consultant to support recovery and rehabilitation of individuals after injury, illness or disability.

You will develop rehabilitation plans, conduct assessments, and work with stakeholders to help people regain independence and re-enter the workforce while you learn from Senior Consultants in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy.
• Registration with AHPRA is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop personalised rehabilitation plans that support a whole-of-person approach to rehabilitation.
• Complete assessments including Functional Capacity Evaluations, Workplace and Ergonomic Assessments and ADLs.
• Identify potential return-to-work pathways in line with recovery milestones.
• Utilise clinical knowledge to perform assessments and assist return to work of claimants.
• Collaborate with clients, families, insurers, employers and other health professionals to evaluate physical, psychological and social factors.
• Present case information to stakeholders and provide credible recommendations.

YOUR NEW ROLE

As a graduate Rehabilitation Consultant, we will support you to play an instrumental role in facilitating the recovery and rehabilitation of individuals who have experienced injury, illness, or disability.

As you develop your skills and experience, your clinical expertise and guidance will be pivotal in supporting individuals regain independence, improve their quality of life, and reintegrate into the community and the workforce.

You will be supported to offer leading rehabilitation services which can include:

• Develop personalised rehabilitation plans that support a whole-of-person approach to rehabilitation
• Complete a range of assessments including Functional Capacity Evaluations, Workplace Assessments, Ergonomic Assessments and Activities of Daily Living Assessment (ADLS)
• Use lateral thinking and forward planning skills to identify potential return to work pathways in line with likely recovery milestones
• Utilise problem-solving skills, clinical experience, and knowledge of injury management to perform assessments and facilitate the return to work of claimants
• You will work closely with a variety of stakeholders, including clients, their families, insurance companies, employers and other healthcare professionals to evaluate physical, psychological, and social factors
• Present case information to various stakeholders and providing credible recommendations/solutions to drive the desired goal
