Job summary

Altius Group in New South Wales is seeking a Rehabilitation Consultant to help people recover after injury, illness or disability. You will design personalised plans and coordinate with clients, families, insurers and health professionals to support independence and community reintegration.

Above award salary, career progression, and leadership training are offered, with support to manage caseload and achieve return-to-work outcomes.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiology.
• Full registration with AHPRA or ESSA.
• Full Australian working rights.
• Current driver’s licence and car.

Responsibilities

• Develop personalised rehabilitation plans that support a whole-of-person approach to rehabilitation.
• Complete a range of assessments including Functional Capacity Evaluations, Workplace Assessments, Ergonomic Assessments and Activities of Daily Living Assessment (ADLS).
• Use lateral thinking and forward planning skills to identify potential return to work pathways in line with likely recovery milestones.
• Utilise problem-solving skills, clinical experience, and knowledge of injury management to perform assessments and facilitate the return to work of claimants.
• Work closely with clients, families, insurers, employers and other healthcare professionals to evaluate physical, psychological, and social factors.
• Present case information to stakeholders and provide credible recommendations to drive the desired goal.
