Job summary

Lane Cove Council is seeking a Manager Regulatory Services to lead regulatory programs across environmental health, building surveying and ranger services. You will develop strategy, oversee statutory compliance and drive complex investigations with a focus on fairness and defensible decisions.

You will coordinate with NSW Police, EPA, NSW Health and neighboring councils, manage significant budgets, and report to the Director Planning and Sustainability. A current NSW driver licence is required.

Qualifications

• Environmental health knowledge and regulatory understanding.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary regulatory teams in public sector.
• Knowledge of NSW legislation and enforcement processes.
• Accreditation as Environmental Health Officer or Building Surveyor desirable.
• Current NSW Class C driver licence required.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental health, building surveying and ranger services teams.
• Develop and implement regulatory services strategy and oversight of compliance.
• Manage investigations, enforcement actions, notices and prosecutions with evidence-based decisions.
• Present reports to Executive Leadership Team and Council.
• Build partnerships with NSW Police, NSW Health and other agencies.
