NOPSEMA in Australia seeks a Regulatory Assistant to provide high‑level administrative and project support within the Strategic Regulation and Improvement Division. You will assist the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Directors and teams to manage commitments, meet deadlines and maintain records in a dynamic regulatory environment.
Key duties include coordinating meetings, drafting reports and correspondence, supporting divisional projects and maintaining action registers.
The National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority (NOPSEMA) is Australia's independent expert regulator for health and safety, structural integrity, well integrity and environmental management for all offshore energy operations and greenhouse gas storage activities in Commonwealth waters, and in coastal waters where regulatory powers and functions have been conferred.
NOPSEMA also administers the functions of the Offshore Infrastructure Regulator (OIR), for the offshore renewables industry. This includes the regulation of work health and safety, infrastructure integrity, and environmental management for offshore renewable energy infrastructure activities.

Reporting to the Director - Regulatory Stakeholder Engagement, the Regulatory Assistant provides high-quality administrative, co-ordination and project support to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Directors and team members within the Strategic Regulation and Improvement Division. The role is central to the smooth operation of the Division, assisting to manage priorities, coordinate activities, support projects and maintain effective business processes in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
The work of the Regulatory Assistant is broad, varied and fast paced. You will work across the Strategic Regulation and Improvement Division, supporting senior leaders and teams through a mix of administrative, coordination, project and business support activities.
