Job summary

Hunter New England Local Health District in Manning Hospital, Taree, NSW, is seeking a Registered Nurse - Theatre to provide perioperative nursing care across the operating theatre environment.

You will work in Instrument and Circulating roles across several surgical specialties, ensuring a safe, sterile theatre and assisting surgeons, anaesthetists, and the perioperative team. A supportive leadership group and comprehensive orientation are provided.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
• Perioperative experience, including Instrument/Circulating practice.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control principles.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to remain calm and organised in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Proactive approach to learning and professional development.
• Commitment to patient safety, quality care and continuous improvement.

An exciting opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse - Theatre to join our dedicated team. Our theatre team works across a range of surgical specialties and is committed to delivering safe, high-quality care throughout the perioperative journey. You'll be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team where teamwork, respect and continuous learning are highly valued. You will receive a comprehensive orientation program, supernumerary shifts and ongoing support from experienced Nurse Unit Managers, Clinical Nurse Educators and senior perioperative nurses.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Registered Nurse – Theatre, you will provide evidence-based perioperative nursing care across the operating theatre environment.
