Colac Area Health is seeking a REGISTERED NURSE to join the Perioperative Services team. Up to 40 hours per fortnight, with a focus on safe, efficient delivery of surgical care across elective and emergency services.

The role requires AHPRA registration and experience in theatre and perioperative services. You will work within a values‑based organisation supporting high‑quality patient care and team collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration.
  • Experience in theatre and perioperative services.
  • Ability to organise work in a systematic, accurate and timely manner.
  • Demonstrate teamwork and leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, efficient perioperative care for surgical patients.
  • Contribute to smooth operation of elective and emergency services.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary perioperative team.

About the role

REGISTERED NURSE - Perioperative Services Up to 40 hours per fortnight

Colac Area Health is a values-based organisation providing a unique integrated health service comprising of over 500 employees, providing Acute Care, Aged Care, Community and Allied Health Services.

The Perioperative Services Team are responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective delivery of surgical care. The role plays a critical part in ensuring high-quality patient care and the smooth functioning of the perioperative environment across elective and emergency services. We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to work in this crucial team, with experience in all aspects of perioperative services being well regarded.

What's required?
  • Registered Nurse - Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Specific qualifications and/or experience relevant to theatre and perioperative services
  • Ability to organise work in a systematic, accurate and timely manner and be flexible in a changing environment.
  • Demonstrate skills in teamwork and leadership.
