Calvary Mater Newcastle is seeking a Registered Nurse to join Ward 4B in a permanent full-time capacity. You will provide safe, patient-focused nursing care in a busy surgical ward and develop skills with mentorship from an Educator.

The role supports multidisciplinary teamwork and aligns with Calvary’s mission and values. The ward cares for a range of surgical specialties and offers salary packaging options, leave loading, and other staff benefits.

Qualifikationen

• Registered Nurse authorised to practice by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Recent demonstrated experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting as a Registered Nurse.
• Ability to work unsupervised and proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of the multidisciplinary team.
• Demonstrated communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to own personal and professional development.
• Commitment to the Mission, Vision and Values of Calvary and the ability and desire to uphold these principles.

• Salary Classification - Registered Nurse Year 1-8
• Remuneration - $41.23 - $57.88 per hour + superannuation + annual leave loading + salary packaging options

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing safe, effective and appropriate patient care in a patient-focused environment. Suitable applicants will have the opportunity to develop skills in surgical nursing with the support of an Educator. Ward 4B is a 30-bed ward caring for adult patients from surgical specialties. The surgical specialties include but are not limited to: General surgery, Colorectal, Gastro, Plastics, Skin lesions including melanoma, oncology-based surgery including mastectomy and breast reconstruction and cardiothoracic.
