Job summary

Calvary Mater Newcastle is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Nurse Bank across the Calvary Mater Newcastle campus. You will provide safe, effective care in diverse clinical settings including Palliative Care, General Medicine and Medical Oncology, rostered to contracted hours across wards.

Applicants must hold current Authority to Practice with AHPRA and have at least 6 months of acute hospital experience, with the ability to work unsupervised and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Registered Nurse with Authority to Practice from AHPRA.
• Minimum 6 months of recent acute hospital experience.
• Ability to work unsupervised and in a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

As a Registered Nurse you will be responsible for providing safe, effective, and appropriate care in a patient focused environment. This position is a Registered Nurse in Nurse Bank, so you will be required to work across the Calvary Mater in diverse clinical settings including; Palliative Care, General Medicine and Medical Oncology.

As a Nurse Bank employee, you will be rostered shifts equivalent to your contracted hours and may be allocated to various wards. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who wants to develop their expertise within a diverse public hospital.

ABOUT YOU:

• Registered Nurse with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA
• Minimum 6 Months demonstrated recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting
• Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
• Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills
