Job summary

Mater Private Hospital Townsville is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our Surgical ward. This permanent part-time role offers flexibility with 0.6–0.8 FTE and a rotating 24/7 roster across early, late, night and weekend shifts.

The Surgical Unit provides care from minor to complex procedures, with state-of-the-art theatres and a focus on outstanding patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum of 12 months postgraduate experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Proven clinical competency and the ability to maintain the highest standards of nursing care.
• Effective communication and clinical problem-solving skills to maximize patient care and outcomes.
• Knowledge and commitment to continuous improvement of health care and nursing practice.
• Demonstrates a collaborative and engaging approach to teamwork within a multi-disciplinary team.
• All successful candidates may be required to complete pre-employment checks (criminal history, working rights, medical, working with children).

The Surgical Unit is a dedicated area caring for peoplefollowing surgery. The highly skilled and passionate staff provideoutstanding patient-centered care to people recovering from relatively minorthrough to the more complex procedures.Our state-of-the-art theatres and equipment, coupled with leading surgeons and nursing staff,offersour patients the highest quality of care, from admission to discharge.

Salary range: $44.06 - $56.52 per hourplus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900+ access to many staff benefits!
