Job summary

Catholic Healthcare in Bathurst, NSW is seeking a dedicated nurse to provide direct clinical care to residents in a not-for-profit aged care setting. You will lead a personal care team, coaching staff and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Applicants must hold AHPRA registration, a Bachelor of Nursing, and be prepared to work a roster including PPT, AM/PM and night shifts. Police Check and NDIS clearance are required, with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration following completion of a Bachelor of Nursing.
• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent with aged care clinical experience.
• Understanding of Aged Care Legislation and Quality Standards.
• Demonstrated understanding of AN-ACC assessment processes.
• Strong coaching and training skills.
• Willingness to obtain Police Check and NDIS clearance.

• Location - St Catherine's Bathurst, NSW
• PPT AM/PM & Night Duty shifts
• Pay rate - $48.50 - $60.30 per hour depending on experience + superannuation

Reporting directly to the Care Manager at St Catherine's Bathurst, you will be providing a high standard of nursing clinical care with an individual, person centred approach to all residents within our residential aged care home.

About the Role

• Providing direct clinical nursing care to residents in line with best practice nursing procedures
• Acting as Team leader, providing coaching, supervision, and guidance to the personal care team
• Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents closely following all policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you'll need

• A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
• Current AHPRA registration following completion of a Bachelor of Nursing or similar
• Thorough understanding of the Aged Care Legislation and Aged Care Quality Standards
• Demonstrated understanding of AN-ACC assessment processes
• Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of the aging process, particularly age - related health issues
• Strong coaching/training skills
• Effective conflict resolution skills with a high level of emotional intelligence
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Competent IT skills
• Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance
